I received my first "Merry Christmas!" on Sunday from a cab driver, who was also listening to carols in his cab in the hope of making it "less painful spending all that money".

Shame dude – can’t tonight – going to see Macbeth – but a drink soon would be good.
But it’s Tuesday – and I’ve got other sources of free alcohol and entertainment already booked that night! Looks like you’ll have to arrange a get-together for those who couldn’t make it!
How was Macbeth? Visiting american friends were quite sniffy about the cast last week.
